14.09.11 - Sands Charity Dinner and Dance

Avaa is proud to be one of the sponsors of the Sands Charity Dinner and Dance.
Along with key sponsors such as Asian Woman Magazine, ASOS, Red Magazine and B4U to name but a few,  Avaa is proud to be involved with such a worthwhile event.

Sands is the stillbirth and neo natal death charity, that provides invaluable support to those families affected by such a sad and traumatic event.

Counseling and telephone support are just a few of the ways in which Sands supports bereaved parents.  As it is a  charity, it survives on the donations it receives. Most of the support is staffed by volunteers who spend their own valuable spare time helping those families in need.

Avaa is proud to be sponsoring this event, not only are we donating a fabulous raffle prize worth £235, we are also attending in our masses!

This event has been organised by the courageous Iffait Khan and her husband, who tragically lost their baby Maya in Jul 2010. Their strength in organizing and planning such a fantastic event has to be applauded.  Not only is it a charity event, but they have managed to get some fantastic acts to come and entertain us. Its going to be a fabulous evening.
